Reverend Khensur Tenzin Jungne the Sixth Jhado Rinpoche was born in 1954 in Tibet, in 1959 came to India in exile. After coming into exile Rinpoche completed his traditional Buddhist studies at Sera Je Monastic University in South India. He was awarded the highest Geshe Lharampa Degree in 1991. Rinpoche successfully completed the entire tantric trainings at Gyuto Tantric College and became an accomplished master. In 1992 he was appointed the master teacher at Namgyal Monastery, and also served as its Abbot until 2004. 

In 2014 Rinpoche was appointed Abbot to Gyuto Tantric College for a three year term. Since Rinpoche has been travelling extensively in different parts of the world giving teachings and initiations at the request of his followers and disciples. He is currently one of the most esteemed master-scholars and holders of Buddha Dharma, and in particular the Gelugpa tradition. Rinpoche is well known and respected for his strong integrity and for being an ardent follower of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s advice and instructions.


Rinpoche will impart instructions for meditation on the view of emptiness as elucidated in ‘The Song of the Four Mindfulnesses.’ These teachings were originally transmitted to Lama Tsongkhapa by Manjushri and versified by His Holiness Seventh Dalai Lama.

Yamantaka Initiation (Highest Yoga Tantra) , attendees must attend both days, and as a prerequisite recieved teachings on the Three Principal Paths or Lam Rim. Refuge, Bodhicitta and Tantric vows will be given during the initiation and a life long commitment of Six Session Guru Yoga practice and Sadhana.

In order to take Vajra Yogini Initiation, you must attend the Yamantaka Initiation unless you have already received a Higher Tantra Initiation in the past (Not Kalachakra). There will be daily commitment of Vajrayogini mantra recitation.

Rev. Khensur Jhado Rinpoche will be giving a commentary on Vajrayogini. There is a prerequisite for these teachings that you must have taken Vajrayogini initiation from Rinpoche or from other Masters.
